HEARING AID SERVICES
In 1981, the Audiology Department began dispensing hearing aids to ensure quality hearing healthcare for their patients. Since that time, the audiologists have continued to provide unparalleled hearing aid services to both children and adults. The staff of licensed audiologists and audiometric technicians provides a comprehensive hearing evaluation to determine the need for amplification. Should amplification be indicated, the audiologist works closely with the patient in determining the most appropriate hearing system. The Audiology Department provides the most technologically advanced hearing instruments available from the major hearing aid manufacturers. These instruments are dispensed on a trial basis to ensure patient satisfaction. The ability to offer our patients improved hearing and a means to communicate more effectively is a service we enjoy providing.
Following a comprehensive audiological (hearing) and otological (medical) exam, your audiologist may suggest that you would benefit from wearing hearing aids. Should you decide to wear amplification, a complete hearing aid service is offered by our office. Raleigh Ear, Nose and Throat began dispensing hearing aids as part of our otolaryngology practice for the following reasons:
1. To offer a more comprehensive rehabilitation service to hearing-impaired patients who cannot be treated for their hearing loss surgically or medically
2. To provide professional hearing aid services at a reasonable cost to our patients
